Something about ME

Hi, I’m Songkun Li, a photographer based in the Bay Area.

I received my BFA in Photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), where I learned that photography isn’t just about technique — it’s about preserving what time can’t hold.

You only live this moment once, but photos live forever.
That belief is what drew me into photography in the first place — the idea that a single frame can hold emotion, memory, and meaning long after the moment is gone.

Today, I focus on portraits and pets, capturing the small, honest moments that make life feel real — the glance, the laughter, the connection between people that words can’t quite describe.

And yes, that’s my golden retriever, Dumbo — the reason I fell in love with photographing pets.
